Inma Martinez - Stradbroke Advisers
Inma Martinez is one of the world’s leading digital media strategists, described by Fortune and Time magazine as one of Europe’s top talents in Human Factors and Social Engagement through technology. Switching a career in the financial markets at Goldman Sachs and The Institute for Infrastructure Finance, she joined Cable & Wireless in the mid-1990s to form their New Technologies Advisory, specifically focused on the Internet and IP services. Co-founder in 1999 of Escape Velocity, a 3i-funded AI software company in the early days of mobile services and selected by Lehman Brothers, in 2006 she founded Stradbroke Advisors, a digital media and fund raising consultancy working with Venture Capital firms (3i, Index Ventures), large corporations (NOKIA Finland, Blyk, BBC, MTV Networks, HP, IBM) as well as Web 2.0 startups and film and TV production companies. She is also an Advisor to the EU Technology Commission.
Andrew Nutter - Balderton Capital
Balderton Capital is one of the leading
venture capital funds in Europe, with a strong operational focus aiming to help
build long-lasting, great companies. The team have invested in over 80
innovative companies in many different sectors, including the likes of MySQL,
Figleaves, LoveFilm, Betfair and Wooga. Andrew joined in 2008 where he focuses
on tech investments and works with a number of portfolio companies. Prior to
Balderton, Andrew was with McKinsey in Europe, India and the Middle East,
advising clients in telecoms and media sectors amongst others. Previously,
Andrew spent time with a number of tech start-ups and financial services
companies, and has degrees from Stanford University, where he also taught
Economics, and Cambridge University. He is a keen squash player, passionate
about entrepreneurship and tries to cook every once and a while.
Tracy Scribner - MMC Ventures
Tracy joined MMC Venture’s investment team in 2008 where she focuses
both on new deals and portfolio management. MMC Ventures was founded in
2000, we have invested in 21 businesses to date and currently have £70 million
under management. We invest in early stage UK based businesses and
although we are sector agnostic, our focus on growth leads us to invest
particularly in healthcare, financial services and technology, including
cleantech and media. Prior to joining MMC, Tracy worked at Rothschild as part of the Equity
Capital Markets team in the London office. Tracy has a an MA in
Mathematics from Balliol College, Oxford University.
